This is the lot the rest of the collection is measured against. At 5.35 carats it is the largest single stone here, and the colour is the reason it carries the price it does: a deep, frankly royal blue that holds its saturation right across the crown instead of washing out at the edges the way lighter Ceylon material tends to. The elongated cushion has been cut for weight retention and it shows — the stone looks every bit of its size face-up. Under direct light the pavilion throws hard electric-blue flashes against the darker body colour; in shade it settles into a quieter, inkier blue. Heated, which is what puts a stone of this size and this colour within reach at all.
Weight and measurements are taken in-house. An independent laboratory report from a recognised gemmological institute can be arranged for this lot before purchase — ask for it in your enquiry.
