Most heart-cut sapphires disappoint because the shape is hard to cut well: the lobes go soft, the cleft fills in, and what you get is a lumpy pear. This one is cut properly — two clearly defined lobes, a crisp cleft, and symmetry that holds when you turn it. The colour is deep royal blue, closer to HR16 than to the cornflower stones, rich in the body with bright flashes coming off the lower pavilion facets. At 3.10 carats it is large enough to read unmistakably as a heart from across a room, which is the entire point of choosing the shape.
Weight and measurements are taken in-house. An independent laboratory report from a recognised gemmological institute can be arranged for this lot before purchase — ask for it in your enquiry.
