Colour is what you are buying here, and this stone has more of it than anything else in the collection. A 2.55 carat oval in a vivid purplish pink that sits close to magenta — no pastel softness, no grey, no washing out toward the girdle. Pink sapphire is priced almost entirely on saturation, which is why this stone carries the same figure as a blue nearly twice its weight. The oval is cut shallow enough to keep the face bright and the colour evenly distributed, and it photographs almost exactly as it looks in the hand, which is not always true of stones this saturated.
Weight and measurements are taken in-house. An independent laboratory report from a recognised gemmological institute can be arranged for this lot before purchase — ask for it in your enquiry.
