About this stone
If you want an unheated Ceylon blue sapphire and you want it to look like an unheated Ceylon blue sapphire, this is the stone. A 2.15 carat oval in medium cornflower — bright, clean, evenly coloured, with the slightly soft quality that untreated Sri Lankan blue tends to have. It is not trying to compete with the deep royal tone of the heated stones and it should not be judged against them; it is a different and, to many collectors, a more honest thing. The most accessible entry point into untreated blue in this collection.
